His experiments with truth

My Insight on Gandhi…

It was a very difficult task to judge and describe the character of Mahatama Gandhi in mere a few words, and the task become all the more difficult as I had to describe him reading the first section. As the first section only talks about his personal life and doesn’t give much on managerial learning

To be very frank I don’t believe in Gandhi ji a lot. I am not a follower of his ideas as I truly believe his ideas of non violence are not applicable in today’s environment.

But it is imporatant on our part to let the process of learning go and never end. We should be smart enough to learn and grasp from things which we don’t believe and follow too. MY EXPERIMENTS WITH TRUTH.. the book written by Mahatama Gandhi talks about his various phases of life and the challenges that Gandhiji took up in his life fighting against unjust.

The important overall learnings from the first section which I found out was… Always believe in yourself and follow your heart. Gandhiji later became an icon and the Father of the nation but during his childhood he had also done things which he was not so proud of. A few being eating meat and smoking and also stealing, the other important lesson to be learnt is, If you have done some bad deed, be prepared for the consicequences, be brave enough to accept your mistake. Telling the truth is also equally important. As it is very commonly said you don’t have to remember what you said if you are telling the truth.

So to summarize I can say the most important things that I learnt from the first section of Gandhiji’s autobiography was to believe in yourself, have faith and never to lie. If we follow these simple principles we surely will attain success in life

Fire burning on the feet..

This is a real life incident which happened in feb 1999 that’s more than 12 years old.
My full family including my uncle, aunt cousins had planned to visit lonavala over the weekend to take a break from the hectic and exhausting city life. We had intended to stay at my dad’s friend’s bungalow celebrating a long weekend. Friday was un-eventful, the same story of kids shouting over corn and visiting monkey point and irritating the hell out of us elder cousins. (I was 11 then but was also one of the elder kids as the others were 7 and 8 years old) every one can imagine how irritating kids can be.
We were planning to leave Lonavala on Sunday morning so that we could rest the day out and prepare our self for the boring set of weekdays to follow.
We had not expected that Saturday to unfold many events, unfortunate ones.
I call it the “JINXED” Saturday. In the morning my aunt was boiling water for drinking purpose and she was standing very close to the gas stove and she while busy gossiping didn’t realize that her sari had caught fire and was literally in flames. Quick thinking by my uncle saved her, who poured water on her in the nick of time.
Afternoon soon followed when one of elder cousin who had gone to buy some stuff from a shop came limping back. We soon realized that a car ran over his feet leaving him badly bruised.
It didn’t end there. How can a story end without a bang!!! We had decided to have a born fire or a camp fire late in the evening in our compound. We collected dry wood and somehow managed a bottle of petrol to help us light up the woods. My dad was pouring petrol on the woods when someone lit a match stick, they didn’t realize that the bottle was too close to the lit stick and the bottle caught fire, the bottle was thrown away by my dad. It took some time to realize that there was no harm caused as yet by the fire and that the woods had not been lit. Once again my eldest cousin picked up the bottle and decided to pour the petrol completely over it and then lit a stick, which sounded like a good idea. As soon as he inverted the bottle to pour petrol, there were flames on the dry wood, and again the same thing happened. The bottle caught fire, and my scared, dumb, idiotic, stupid brother who wanted to become a hero, kicked the bottle hard.
Poor me I was quietly standing in a corner of the compound waiting for the fun to start. Never had expected to get so much fun at my expense.
Boom!!! I had no time to react and the bottle of petrol came flying towards me. It fell a good 2 feet away from me but the petrol in the bottle came flying out and caught my leg. I was wearing polyester trousers which added fuel to the fire and it didn’t take time for everyone to realize that my right leg had caught fire. I was running around the compound shouting and trust me it completely seemed like a bollywood flick but the only difference being, me experiencing the pain rather than watching it from the other side of the screen.
Somehow the fire was extinguished and we all were preparing for a very long night ahead. Symbolizing a typical Indian woman, my mother fainted at the sight of my leg being in a very bad condition. Her emotions and tears would have left all the actors of the ‘k’ serials by Ekta Kapoor gasping for breath. The night followed was very painful. No doctors and no options but to use traditional methods like cooling it by applying potato skin on the wound. Somehow the long wait ended and the next afternoon we returned back to Mumbai
This incident it like a decade old but I still do have marks on my leg which remind me of that eventful night. Though painful but I got a lot of publicity after this incident….. J

FRIENDSHIP...

It cannot be just a dream,
As I’m sure you’ll for real.
Don’t know what the future has in store for us,
Selecting vivid paths or catching a different bus.
The feelings we share are not fake,
Blissful memories with us we take.
Promise is what we make,
Some day we bake the same cake.

So many weird thoughts running at the same time,
You will always be the best friend of mine.
Too many cooks spoil the food,
But being together set’s up our mood.
We will never leave each other alone,
Just like the relation of blood and bone.

We'll soon be old,
But will never give up being bold
Funny like always the way it is,
Memories and the days spent together I miss.
Cherishing the memories of teenage,
Reading the book of life again page by page.
I just love the way you are,
Sipping late night coffee at a bar.
But when needed always caring like a mother.
Abusing, fighting beating the shit out of each other,
White hair, but still flirting being brave,
We’ll always celebrate despite sitting on our grave.

Friends obviously make my life,
Even more important than the hottest gal as my wife ;)
Amongst us do never lie,
Enjoy these days giving hi five’s

From BOYS to MEN

Pain...

Then..
it was falling while playing cricket and a bruised knee.
Now..
Being avoided by a loved one..

Trust..

Then..
Sharing a candy even with a stranger
Now..
Thinking twice even before telling ur name.

Love..

Then..
Mom reciting fables and dad's lap
Now..
love.. rather call it 'lol'

Fun..

Then..
spending an evening in the rain.. cycling and playing in the puddle of dirty water,
Now..
Sitting at home, thinking about managing our finances.

Food..

Then..
Anything cooked by mom full of love.
Now..
Junk is the only word that comes to our mind.

Back in the day we used to cry over broken toys,
and now even a broken heart doesnt inflict that much pain..

Is a friends shoulder more soothing than a mothers lap?
Are the late night drives more facinating than a chat about your long day with your folks?
Are Social Networking sites actually more important than socializing?
Is watching the television more beautiful than staring at the moon and stars?

A million and one questions but just one answer...
The time Changes and so do we..
But actually??
Does only the time change or do we?
Cherish those moments..
Love those memories..

LEARN TO LOVE LIFE...
THE LIVING PART WILL AUTOMATICALLY HAPPEN

Does it really MATTER...

Does it really...matter

if u care for some 1
and fail to show it.

if u love some one unconditionally
but fail to express it.

if u really feel sorry
but fail to confess

does it really matter
when you want to speak your heart out,
but cant gather the courage to do so.

when u want to fly,
but are afraid of the fall.

when u want to run,
but ur leg hurts.

when u want to love,
but ur heart aches.

.......

yes it does matter.
One life...
never again..
time once passed doesnt come again
display...

confess...
love truly...
laugh till your stomach hurts...
cry till ur eyes get dry...

Vishi my brother my man,

being there with us like a brother,
and caring for us like a mother.
saving our ass when we get sloshed,

helping us while even gettish washed :p
would call u a computer geek,
helping us all when with technology we freak.
always there to offer a helping hand,
you were our saviour in quick sand.

always on time and never mean.
a person so good by heart,

Life Explained

                                Do’s and Don’ts
Live life out of passion
And not like it’s a sentence.
To honest to break the rules,
No harm in bending them.
Stop living for the sake of others.
The fact is, it really doesn’t matter.
Have a tear Shed it,
It won’t harm your reputation.
Have something in your mind or heart, confess,
It won’t hurt your ego.
Love someone tell them,
Heartbreak’s would just make you strong.
Have a dream?
Chase it; follow it till it comes true.
Be like the rain drops,
Never afraid of the long fall
Even if u fall,
Crawl, stand up, walk till you start running again.
Life, its just a simple thing,
Meant to be nurtured,
Meant to be lived,
Meant to be enjoyed,
Meant to be cherished,
Don’t complicate it….
One life live it

I miss dat early morning alarm
the blanket,the bed
and a cup of coffee so warm...

 i miss back those days
naughty sun's hiding rays
 the cold,the fog the mist
 and a never endin list

 all those ups and downs
 all smiles,all frowns
being the back benchers
 and scoldings frm the teachers

the old canteen,
 the scribbled desks
 sleeping in the class
 and cheating in the tests

 runnin in d rain
 eatin durin classes
 those friendships
n those cold wars

 the assembly,
 the uniform
never again to be worn...
never r those days gonna come back,
its always goin to be
just me and my memories!!

dedicated to all my school frnz!

Shining bright

This phase in life where we are stuck And it seems that we are running out of luck. All the doors seem to be shut. Giving up so easily, but? But one last fight With all my might One last try Giving out a strong reply Times of crunch, Giving one last punch. Wont give up ever. That not an option, no never. Every dark cloud has a silver lining, One day I’ll be on the top shining
