school days

With the morning alarm which woke us,
Always running late to catch the school bus.
Running up the stairs to avoid the remark,
Always dressed crisp and up to the mark.

The days when attendance was compulsory,
Unlike now when it its just a formality.
Miss those days, when lectures were fun,
And also the lunch time spent together under the scorching sun.

With shiny shoes and oily hair,
We walked as if no one cared.

Miss those days, when our staple was sandwich and samosas,
Never did we invest in Pizzas and Pastas.
Hiding under the desk and eating during the lectures,
Always covering up for one another in front of our teachers.

Miss those days when talking about sex was so much fun,
Sharing such incidents turn by turn.
The weekly PT period was awaited so bad,
We played like if we were completely mad.

Copying during exams was so tough,
Unlike now, which is just another bluff.
When we fought only to sit besides a cute girl,
And trust me those fights were serious fun.

Banging the desk was music to our ear's,
It was better than MTV for so many years.
Singing JAYA HAI JAYA HAI always so loud,
Being Blossomities we were all the more proud.

The day of our farewell brought so many tears,
Living without a day at school was our worst fear.
Badly miss those fun filled days,
For reliving those moments is what we pray.

The days spent together and those memories, we will forget never,
Blossoms, a part of our heart always and forever.
